OUR CUSTOMERS ROCK!
My daughter had soccer practice at the Eastlake High School, so we stopped by and checked out this café in part because of wife had heard it was good and Trip Advisor currently rates it #2 in the area. I ordered the Rueben with Sidewinder Fries, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The corned beef is prepared locally, and the slices are thick and generous. They offered a 1/2 sandwich which I wished I’d ordered as I stuffed myself. My wife ordered the ‘All White’ Turkey Melt with Onion Rings. Of course, I sampled all her food… AND my kids food as well. So, I know first hand this everything was Outstanding.
My daughter ordered the Triple Fruit French Toast, and as you can see from the picture, they didn’t skimp at all. She also ordered an Oreo Milkshake, which was hand scooped, and blended with the ‘old style’ cafe blenders with ice cream from a local creamery. My daughter was not able to finish, and that was after a two hour soccer practice, so that should speak volumes as to how much food you get.
All in all, I will make a point to come back. I’m 2 hours away, but will ensure I drive a little out of my way if necessary to enjoy their food.
Nice spot on the Plateau, we enjoy breakfast here the most. Recommend the omelette with cheese and ham or pancakes. Be careful, you may over do it since their dishes taste so good- be prepared to work out afterwards, you will need it! The service is friendly and fast, we come here every week, they have earned our business and rating! Well done folks.
My son and I love to come here for breakfast, he really enjoys the pancakes, I enjoy the Popeye minus the fungi. Syrup is home made and the red potatoes are the best. Staff is always friendly and coffee while you wait.. can’t beat that.
This place is a legit 4 stars. I am somewhat biased due to nostalgia. We always came here after our prenatal visits as a treat, so it holds fond memories. To the food… I am a corned beef hash junkie (aficionado if you prefer) and Sammamish cafe has it nailed! It’s made from scratch, not from a can. Omelets are hard to beat. Pancakes are great, nice and fluffy. Burgers are good (though not Jak’s burgers). Their pies are outstanding, especially on ‘pie day’ when a slice is $1.50 (or somewhere thereabouts). Chocolate cream pie…, oh mamma!! Great breakfast/lunch spot in “The S’mish”.
